Bruss North America breaks ground on expansion of production facility in Russell County plus doubling employment number

August 2007 - Members of the community of Russell County, KY and BRUSS North America joined to break ground for a $24 million expansion of the company’s industrial facility in Russell County.

BRUSS, a German company that specializes in sealing systems for transmissions and engines, is located in Russell Springs since 2001 with it’s only U.S. production and its North American corporate headquarters. It currently employs 165 and is expected to grow by an additional 150 employees due to the expansion.  The enlargement will enable the company to manufacture automotive valve covers, seals and gaskets and will add 71,400 sqft of manufacturing and 54,000 sqft of warehousing space. Completion is scheduled for fall 2008.
