German Mauer AG opens first US facility in Kentucky

September 2007 - German plastic injection moulding company Mauer AG announced opens their first US manufacturing in Northern Kentucky. The investment will build a 400 m2 facility for about 100 new jobs in the production of injection molded caps and closures for the packaging industry.
"We chose Kentucky an in particular Boone County because of the business friendly environment, being near an international airport, the skill levels of the potential workforce and the overall quality of life", stated Klaus Mauer, President & CEO of Mauer AG.
Mauer USA LLC joins the growing German-speaking business community in Kentucky, counting already 73 German, 5 Austrian and 10 Swiss enterprises.
